MUHWA 100-Place Polycarbonate Freezer Box — Cryogenic Storage, 10×10 Grid
A freezer box is the last thing between your samples and −80°C chaos. When you have 50 boxes in a rack and need to find tube A7 from the third one down, three things matter: you need to know which box you are grabbing, the grid needs to line up when you open it with thick cryogloves, and the box needs to survive being pulled in and out of the freezer 20 times a week without cracking.
The polycarbonate body gives you transparency that polypropylene boxes do not — you can count vial caps through the lid without opening. At −80°C and below, PC retains its mechanical strength better than PP, so the box does not turn brittle after months of thermal cycling. The 10×10 grid fits standard 2mL cryovials and microcentrifuge tubes with enough clearance that you are not forcing tubes into oversnug holes with half-frozen fingers.
Grid indexing — find samples without thawing the box
Each position carries an alphanumeric coordinate molded into both the lid and the base grid — row letters A through J, column numbers 1 through 10. When your lab notebook says sample X is in Box 4, position C7, you open Box 4, go to C7, and pull it. The lid is keyed so it seats in only one orientation — grid A1 on the lid always aligns with grid A1 on the base.
Temperature range that covers your cold chain
The PC body handles continuous exposure from −196°C (liquid nitrogen vapor phase) to +121°C (autoclave sterilization). One box type works for your entire cold storage workflow — LN2 tank, −80°C freezer, −20°C freezer, and bench-top use after autoclaving.
Stackable for high-density freezer storage
The flat lid and base surfaces are designed to stack. The footprint fits standard 2-inch freezer racks — you can pack 50 or more boxes per rack shelf without wasted space.

What fits in this box
Standard 2mL cryovials with internal or external threads. 2.0mL and 1.5mL microcentrifuge tubes. Not designed for 5mL cryovials or 0.5mL tubes without adapters — the grid spacing is optimized for the 2mL vial form factor.
When you are banking precious samples — cell lines, protein aliquots, RNA extracts, clinical specimens — the freezer box is part of your quality system. Polycarbonate at this grid density is the proven material choice for long-term biorepository storage.
